As part of FTI Consulting Brussel’s EU2019 election campaign,  please find attached the last overview from our Health team highlighting what legislation remains outstanding on Europe’s agenda within the sector before May 2019, when the current mandate concludes. This follows on from the Tech, Financial Services and Energy, Transport and Agriculture, circulated over the past weeks.

It concludes: “ As the EU becomes increasingly active in the healthcare sector and some Member States embark on closer collaborations, we will see a stronger EU influence emerging. With ageing populations, diminishing health workforces and new technologies making greater demands on healthcare budgets, Europe will be looking at different ways to preserve its social model, protect national healthcare systems and manage patient expectations”.
