Project delays often turn into disputes which require assistance from third parties to be resolved. The number of disputes could be reduced if correct delay analysis was applied from the outset.

The purpose of a delay analysis is to determine the extent of any potential extension of time due (thereby granting relief from liquidated damages) and to establish a new completion date.
